Inspiration
My senior thesis was inspired by the story of heiress Doris Duke. Doris inherited eighty million dollars at the young age of thirteen. The media coined Duke's nickname, "the richest little girl in the world," which became the title of my thesis. I created my collection based around the idea of what Doris would wear as a young woman, sophisticated and feminine while remaining youthful and just a little quirky.
